Dear Students

At the very outset I welcome students, their parents, visitors and members of staff in this new academic session in the only one and oldest temple of higher learning in district Kinnaur (Himachal Pradesh) which is a tribal area. Our institution is imparting education in Arts, Commerce and Science streams at UG level since its inception, BBA and PGDCA were introduced later on under self-financing scheme and PG classes in History and Political Science subjects were started during academic session 2020-2021. It is heartening to know that students from distant corners of the district – Chango, Hango, Nako, Pooh, Lippa, Spillow, Aarang, Chhitkul, Nichar, Bhavanagar and Spiti valley are studying in this institution. The college has a dedicated faculty with good infrastructure. It has a well maintained library with modern facilities.
The college has good sports culture and students have brought laurels to the college in sports especially boxing and various cultural events. Students can opt for NSS, NCC, and Rovers & Rangers and become active members of clubs and societies to nurture their talents.

     Principle  Dr .Poonam  Mehta

The students can seek the guidance of college faculty, career counseling & guidance cell and from their mentors while selecting the faculty/ subjects/ courses during admission or as and when required. Students are advised to co-operate in developmental activities of the college and if they are facing any difficulty, can approach to college Grievance Redressal Cell to mitigate the same. Students are also advised to read the College Notice Board daily twice or thrice, make maximum use of technology, English Language Lab, Computer Labs to improvise their academic and soft skills. They should behave politely with their peers, members of non-teaching staff, seniors and juniors, do not indulge themselves in activities/incidents of ragging, say no to drugs & smoking and lead healthy life style. Youth is full of energy and enthusiasm and thus need to channelize their energy in creative and constructive activities at the same time develop leadership qualities. Students should prove themselves in competitions, adventure sports, blood donation and societal activities, learn as many languages as they can, contribute articles for College Magazine ‘Shatudri’ and improve their writing skills. One can get success only by dint of hard work, dedication, zeal and passion. They should interact with their teachers, friends and experts of a particular field and therefore gain expert knowledge and confidence building.
I wish all the very best and good luck to the members of staff and students for the academic session 2022-2023 and assure one and all to work strenuously for the further growth and development of our institution. I also welcome all the students seeking admission during this session and wish them a very bright future.

Jai Hind!
