About Department
The Department of Mathematics of this college was established to give an appropriate option of subject to pursue the study of mathematics at affordable cost within the access of all the aspiring minds. A high standard is maintained in the department when it comes to developing young minds At present this department is offering B.Sc./B.A. degree course under UG program affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University. The department caters to the overall development of the students through counseling sessions, various competitions, seminars, personality development programmes and special tuitions for weak students. The Department is also well equipped with latest ICT enabled learning for the betterment of the students in their learning process. The curriculum delivery is planned b as per the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy and the standards of Graduates Attribute.

Mathematics is one of the oldest as well as an emerging subject of the modern times. From the time immemorial, mathematics has been in diverse fields of medicine, economics, computer science, physics, chemistry, psychology, social sciences, etc. thus, it has become a source of great significance in developing curious minds for Mathematics.
The Department of Mathematics of this college has begun its journey in the institution with great expectations of the concerned stakeholders. Over these years, we have grown in our expertise and competence in the curriculum. . I am also sure that the department will scale even greater heights in the coming years with a purpose to serve the mankind. To provide with and foster an environment of encouraging and participatory teaching learning where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical application. Moreover, the department will be doing its best to contribute to the development of students as critical, judicious and mathematical thinkers with a noble thought for nation building. The department aims at giving best possible reach at institutional, state, national and international level by imparting mathematics as practical education using best practices.
