The Disaster Management Cell of the college works in creating awareness among students and the college community in general about the havoc caused by manmade and natural disaster. The cell has taken several measures to create awareness about disaster mitigation, risk and crises management in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority of Distt. Kinnaur and HP State Disaster Management Authority.

Regular awareness are given to students on basic training skills in Disaster Management. Regular mock drills, exercises and rehearsals on Disaster management will be conducted on time.

Aim

  • Building a safe, secure and disaster-resilient College with an effective, efficient and coordinated approach to Disaster Risk Management.

Objectives

  • Imparting training on Disaster Risk Management to help create a culture of prevention, mitigation, preparedness and prompt response.
  • Capacity building of various stakeholders through focused inputs and their active involvement for multi-faceted approach to Disaster Risk Management
