A Brief Profile
Kinnaur is an historical land of gods where a seeker of wisdom has always found respite. The physical landscape is not just emanating beauty but its enriched cultural values have made this land a living heaven on earth. One who arrives in this divine land never feels empty handed and this institute has been serving for the past thirty years in one of the tribal districts of Himachal Pradesh. The road has been long and ardours yet fulfilling one for the faculty and students associated with this college. Initial humble years gave way to a fully functional college which today boasts of three mainstreams of education i.e. Humanities, Commerce, Science and keeping up with the current times it also offers Bachelor in Computer Applications and two add on courses.The hard work and diligence of staff and faculty of the institute has made it earn “B Grade” by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The institute’s name is associated to the towering personality of the district Sh. Thakur Sen Negi, the first Chief Secretary from the district and thrice elected Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. The college is located at the footsteps of magnificent Kinner Kailash Mountain Ranges and is the pioneering institute for higher education at Reckong Peo Kinnaur.
