Rovers And Rangers Unit

The Rovers and Rangers is a voluntary, non-political, educational Movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed , in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907.


Objectives

The purpose of the movement is to contribution to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities


Principles

The Rovers /Rangers Movement is based on the following principles.

  2. Duty to others
  3. Duty to Self

Badge

The NSS logo is embossed on the badge of NSS. The eight bars in the wheel of NSS logo represent the 24 hours of a day. The red colour indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spirit. The navy blue colour indicates the cosmos of which the NSS is tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.
