Vision of Department :
To foster the young minds with humanistic and rational perspective and approach towards society and the world to add a meaningful, practical and remarkable chapter of innovation without uprooting the very foundation of the social and traditional fabric and order and to equip students with a sound academic foundation that help them to question critically, think logically, communicate clearly, act resourcefully and live ethically, with the inculcation of wise, judicious and righteous vision towards the social order and the world order.
Mission :
- Facilitate the students in understanding various social processes, latent concepts and varying sociological perspectives in such a way that they are able to critically evaluate theories and models and employ those theories in common practices.
- To convey and apply knowledge to expand personal growth and opportunity, advance social and community development, foster social responsibility and improve the quality of life.
- To create an atmosphere of interest and curiously for the local, traditional social and cultural diversity and the preservation of the rich treasure of the customs and value system of the indigenous culture.
- To address the questions of the students and try to come up with possible solutions with the robust mechanism of Mentor- Mentee in the institution.
- The judicious use of the Bloom’s Taxonomy for the curriculum enrichment, teaching plan, teaching learning and the evaluation.
- To use Graduate attributes as benchmark for academic excellence.
