Sanskrit
The Department of Sanskrit was established in our college to give access to the students of this remote tribal area, the ancient wisdom and rich spiritual heritage of our Indian tradition, philosophy and simple way of harmonious and all inclusive living and to enhance the communication skill and inculcation of moral values in the youth and all the concerned individuals. .Sanskrit is the store house of ancient Indian Cultural and Literary Heritage. The pan Indian knowledge system is inscribed in Sanskrit texts. The Sanskrit language is one of the oldest languages of the world. The sacred scripture of India i.e. Vedas are compiled in Sanskrit. The tradition of Vedic Sanskrit is as old as the mankind and the political, economic, social, educational endeavors of this great land are encoded in various texts of Sanskrit.
The Sanskrit language has a purifying and energizing aspect attached to it, if the learner dives deep into the phonetic world of the language. Sanskrit is also known for its multi-disciplined approach among all the spheres of knowledge. The Sanskrit language not only speaks about Vedas and Puraṇas, but also extends its existence in scientific spheres viz. mathematics, astronomy, astrology, physics, medicine, yoga etc. with various texts composed by different authorities from time to time. The Department believes in the message of ‘vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam’ which says that the whole world is a family. These principles of oneness, togetherness, cooperation, coordination and co-existence are the very foundation of our Department.
The Sanskrit literature and language is the treasure house of unexplored wisdom and infinite knowledge for the expansion of human mind. There is a strong need to bring the knowledge from Ancient texts to bridge the gap between the past and the future through the present. Keeping this in view students are prepared for careers in Sanskrit through study and practice of it. Sanskrit education contributes to the development of responsible, dedicated, determined, and creative adults in society. Our Department from the very beginning of its inception has tried to make the critical thinkers in Sanskrit .As rightly said” Everything is not great just because it is ancient. Nothing is bad just because it is modern. Intelligent people take things after examining it properly. An ignorant man simply believes what others say.” Our Department strongly believes in the infinite possibilities of human mind for growth and evolution. Our students are definitely carry forward the rich and valuable culture of our motherland to the next generation and keep the light of knowledge and spiritualism glowing like the Sun in the world.
