Activities

  1. In assistance with Language & Culture Academy Kinnaur, Literary Society of the college organized one day workshop on ā€œPre-event Activity: Tribal Literature ā€“ cum ā€“ Excursion Festivalā€ (Chukshim) on 13th Oct. 2023. Poster-making, logo making and declamation contests were organized on this occasion.
  2. In assistance with the Institute of tribal Studies, H.P. University Shimla, Literary Club of the college organized a workshop on the ā€œImportance of Soft Skills in Professional Lifeā€ on 6th Nov. 2023 in our institution
  3. In collaboration with the Department of Language & Culture Kinnaur at Reckong Peo, the Literary Club of Thakur Sen Negi Govt. College Reckong Peo observed 14th Sept. 2024 as Hindi Day. Declamation, essay-writing, slogan-writing and poster ā€“making competitions were organized for students of T. S. Negi Govt. College Reckong Peo, DIET and ITI institutes.
  4. In the sequence of 150th birth anniversary commemoration of great Indian tribal hero Birsa Munda, who fought for the justice rights and upliftment of tribal people of Orissa, a tribal exhibition was organized by the literary club of college on 19th Nov. 2024 from 11:30 onwards at new building hall. Students of the college prepared different models, handicraft items, paintings, collage, posters, banners and slogans etc. on Birsa Munda. They also displayed Kinnauri handicraft items like traditional male and female dress, shawl, kinnauri topi, doru, different types of jewelry, kitchen and household items, agriculture and horticulture related goods, dry fruits, grains, local food dishes, weaving & spinning tools, fruits like apple, apricot, almond, khumani and chuli etc.
  5. The Literary Club in collaboration with Commerce Club organized one day workshop on ā€œDrug Abuseā€ on 2nd Dec. 2024. District Mandi based state level NGO Sahajā€™s Co-ordinator Mr. Mohit Garg delivered an extended lecture on the topic.
