The Department of Commerce was established in this institute to meet the growing demands of the stakeholders to start the Commerce Stream to facilitate the students with quality education in the field of Commerce to empower the students in this tribal area and since then this department has been scaling heights ever since. The Department offers Bachelor of Commerce degree, one of the most demanded courses of the contemporary academic world. The students have added to its prestige by securing very good marks in the university exams. The Department puts greater emphasis on the student centric pedagogy to provide with the equal opportunity to all the students to empower their minds as per their learning calibers and to ensure to reach out to the last student standing in the line. To live up to the vision of the Department, the faculty has been working to upgrade the departmental library with latest editions of the books and online recourses for ready reference. We are planning to sign An MoUs with the different organizations and other educational institutes to impart the student’s hands on experience of the concepts and the various study material in practical form for better understanding and application.
Creativity and application skills among the students are promoted to add meaningful purpose and to make them industry ready and employable to the highest order. More emphasis will be given to the project based learning, internships, apprenticeship, and article ship for learning by doing pattern and there will be more rational mechanism for evaluation and assessment. As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is highly professional in nature; the course intends to provide a foundation for students who plan to pursue their career in business, commerce, accounting etc. We also encourage students to organize events such as Inter-college and inter department meets, participate in events organized by other colleges and also get involved in activities of social relevance. More determined and dedicated focus is given to fact that ultimately the purpose of all the investment in studies is destined to the joyful living of all human beings on the Earth by sharing all the available resources to fulfill the needs of all aspects in the universe. The Faculty development is one of the core values of this Department which gives the individual faculty to realize their full potential for the welfare of the students.The curriculum is taught by a distinguished faculty combining academic excellence and real world experience with dedication and commitment.
